If you are stuck, move the needle
As someone who has been in the strategy of laying low, doing online courses, pinching my pennies and browsing LinkedIn, I can admit that I was stuck.
I wanted to experience new people, in different industries, doing cool shit, but I didn’t know where to start. So when Pini asked if I wanted to join her on a road trip in California, I wondered if it might (somehow) move the needle.
Having been in a space of feeling like I always need more time, more surrender, and more healing to discover my pathway to a career of fulfillment - I knew I had to try something different.
We all know insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results, but still, I couldn’t orchestrate a different course of action, until this came up.
Although going on a road trip with minimal money in the bank, and a seemingly lovely new friend, felt like a crazy idea, it began to make sense.
I was living in what some might describe as “hope marketing”. Doing nothing (in the traditional sense) and hoping for a miracle. These thoughts come from conditioning and external opinions but often I fall victim to believing them.
So although I had the feeling a new opportunity was close, I couldn’t help defaulting to the forms I assumed it would take:
Would it be a client, a job abroad, or an overwhelming desire to get my last youth mobility visa before I turned 36? I knew something exciting had to be on the horizon because I really had been watering my hope manifestations 😅
This isn’t a spiritual pitch about manifestation this is an honest talk about moving the needle. Embodying different behaviors. Trying new approaches. And playing with your edges. Mine were around receiving and fear around money.
So I leave you with this: if you are stuck, and you hold a vision for yourself that has some of the pieces but not the whole puzzle. Ask yourself: how can I move the needle?
Luck is not about being presented with opportunities but being open to where they might lead.
Moving the needle will happen, it just may not be in the way you expect.

2. Can you elaborate on the concept of "hope marketing"?
Hope marketing is a mindset or approach where individuals passively wait for opportunities to present themselves without taking proactive steps to pursue them.
